how to change * sign in foxpro database?

Hellow every body
i have one query in foxpro.in fox pro we are suppose delete any perticular record then * sign comes for that perticular record.when we writw pack command then that * record is deleted permanently
my problem is that I wants yo put any diffrent sign instead of * whether it is possible?if yes then how ?
