Managing concurrent coding in software development

Question posted by: ssrivastava9 (Newbie) on February 2nd, 2008 07:23 AM
Hello,

We have a very critical application made on Visual Basic 6.0 and DB2. Now we have encountered 5 enhancement changes must be incorporated in our application but on the same time we have received 2 high profile projects for the same application. So it has become a difficult situation for us doing 5 small but sustantial changes in same application and working on project in same time frame.. Though I m pretty optmistic about the releases but I have concerns as well about code management, change management and retrofitting codes in projects.

Can some advise me what are the major risks we may face in the development life cycle these 7 differents works in same application on same time .. Some tips given will be highly appreciated..

Thanks,
Santosh

Noi sure if it's possible in VB but have a look at CVS.
