After doing some googling for the error below, it seem to be that this
error pertains to db2 v8.2 or 8.1.
2008-01-10-10.10.36.579007-360 I16865488A285 LEVEL: Severe
PID : 160024 TID : 1 PROC : db2fmp (C) 0
INSTANCE: db2inst1 NODE : 000
FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, common communication, sqlccipcdarihandshake, probe:
3
RETCODE : ZRC=0x83000024=-2097151964
Is that true?
If this is so, how can I found out definitively what version of db2
server I am running?
Thanks in advance

ZRC=0x83000024 means: Operating system reason code (GetLastError) :
DWORD error = 36 -- Too many files opened for sharing.
Logon to the server and issue command db2level to get current version
of DB2.

"db2level" as the instance owner will tell you.
