Default QMF vs SPUFI

I'm a sysprog who is new to DB2. I've installed both QMF & SPUFI.

SPUFI seems far more flexible than QMF. Could someone explain the
difference? What does QMF do that SPUFI can't?

Regards,

Does that mean that QMF is mainly oriented at end users where SPUFI is
better for admins?

Yes, but you can also save the formatting in QMF and run it in a proc, which
is sometimes useful for admins also if they just need reports.

But for running scripts (like DDL, etc) spufi is needed because it can
execute a PDS member. SPUFI stands for SQL Processor Using File Input (or
something close to that depending on who you ask).

BTW, Spufi comes free with DB2 and QMF is priced extra.
