Default moving oracle DBs & 9ias from system A to system B

Hi,

I want to move some Oracle (V8.1.7) databases using a system (OS: AIX 4.3.3)
backup and restoring it on another server (same hardware and os version)
with different hostname and IP address.

I need to do the same things with Oracle 9ias (V1.0.2).

I'll take a system and a data (Oracle DBs) backup to get the same of every
things on the others servers (using the same HW). Some people told me the
9ias have a big, big dependency on the IP and hostname.

1st) Did that is real?
2) If so, how to get around?

Thank you,
JP.

1 Yes
2 Not - reinstall, better yet: reconsider, because the
backup/move (site/pages) in iAS is a pain, too, and riddled with
errors
