Hi,

I am trying to create a web page that has three sections: header, left
frame and right frame:

the top frame is meant to be static, while the left one has a
scrollable tree and the right one the scrollable content. The tree and
the content are meant to be able to scroll independentaly. The page is
also meant to work in multiple browsers, including Firefox and IE6+.

I have tried multiple approaches but I can't seem to get one which
works. I will admit to being a novice at CSS, but IE seems to be
exceptionally painful. For example, I tried using a 'float: left' for
the left frame, which was respected in all browsers but IE!

Thanks for the pointer, I certainly missed the obvious :)

I now have a general prototype here:

This works fine in most web browsers ( Firefox, Safari, Opera ), but
not in Internet Explorer 6, since it seems to do everything like no
one. What I find is that the scroll bars are displayed, for the right-
hand pane, but not when using IE6 (I can't confirm the behaviour with
IE7). Does anyone have an suggestions on how to get it to display
correctly in this case?
