How do I access media file data (attributes)?

Question posted by: Peter (Guest) on November 12th, 2006 05:05 PM
I want to be able to construct a database using VB6 of my MP3 files (held on
the hard drive) so that I can sort the data by "Artist", "Title", "Genre",
etc.
I know how to put the database together, but I am having trouble extracting
the mp3 file attributes. I can see them OK in Windows Explorer (using
properties - summary).
I can also access them if they were files on a CD, but not as converted MP3
files on my PC.

Can anyone help

Thanks

Peter

There are plenty of ID3 tag readers available on PSCode that should be
able to get this information for you.
