Hi all-
I have been tasked with creating a webbased Contact mangment system and
need some recos on software for the project.
Obviusly i am going to run it off of mysql and php but need a type of
wysisig editor to create the application. I have looked at redbrix and
phpmagic. Niether seems to be robust enough for what i am looking for.
I need to have user groups with fseperate permisions on fields. Need
to be able to create schemas or views and assing them to user groups.
Need to have stored macros and querrys for end users to run reports.
And of course i need to have the ability to have users write to the
database through forms.
I need the ability to create all of this through a dummy wisywig type
interface if possible.

For a nice contact management / CRM system, you might try Sugar CRM
(sugarcrm.com). Maybe a hosted DB collaboration service such as
quickbase.com, weboffice.com, or caspio.com would be useful...

redbrix is incredibly awesome. Very neat stuff.

Thanks peter -
Sugarcrm looks amazing. Only problem i see is the limitations on
setting user permissions. You basically have admin, user and guest
accounts with no ability to define field permissions. (for open source
version, didnt look at commercial products)
I am awaiting a reply from redbrix to see if they offer this
functionality before making my decision.
Thanks again!
