I am running DB2 version v8.1.3.88 on a Sun v40z server running
RedHat Linux AS 4 kernel version 2.6.9. My problem is that the
db2diag.log file is growing without bounds (I just deleted a 1.7
terabytes file!). I have tried setting the DIAGLEVEL parameter to low
values (even to zero), but that did not solve the problem.

The error that keeps being copied to db2diag.log is the following:

I would appreciate your help with this problem. Thanks,

I would recommend calling IBM service for this problem. Further, I would
explain to whoever you get at IBM that "Sun v40z" is an AMD Opteron
processor, not a SPARC processor, otherwise people may get confused and
dismiss it as an unsupported configuration.
(I'm guessing at the chip because you haven't been explicit, and the first
thing that showed up in google for "sun v40z server" was a document
describing a machine based on an AMD Opteron chipset.)
