Default help with strange problem

I'm having a strange problem with viewing a site. I downloaded it and am
seeing that although I can view text on the page in my browser, I don't
see any of it in Dreamweaver. Has anyone run into this before? Any idea
how to get around it?

Thanks in advance,
Holly

I should mention that someone else worked on the site using GoLive - is
there an incompatibility issue w/Golive & Dreamweaver that could be
causing this?

How did you download it? Did you create a local copy of the site's page?
I do not understand your problem. Do you mean:
1. You downloaded the page and it looks exactly the same locally in your
browser (what browser?) as it does from the original site?
2. You downloaded the page and it only shows only the HTML code in your
browser?
2. You downloaded the page and it only shows the content in your browser?

When loaded into DW:
1. the screen is blank?
2. all you see is the HTML code?
3. you see the content without styling?

Oops, I'm sorry - my original post was too vague. I am still having
trouble describing the problem, but will try. When I see the page in a
browser, I see text and graphics - everything looks as it should. However,
when I load it into Dreamweaver, the table cell that should have the text
is gone, I can't even tell where it went. What I do see is skewed - the
whole page is basically blue (same as the background table color). So the
layout is skewed.

I ended up downloading Golive and the page renders ok there. I found that
if I delete one of the table elements in Golive then it renders ok in
Dreamweaver - so there must be some kind of error in the coding that DW is
revealing. It's funny because for some reason, I can't delete that element
in Dreamweaver - must be deleted in Golive. Weird. I never knew of Golive
to have buggy coding issues so not sure what happened.

Thanks for writing, I appreciate that you took the time to ask for
specifics.
