Default RSS: author must include an email address

Folks,

Maybe a newbie issue, but I do not quite understand why
http://test.aces.uiuc.edu/news/RSS/AcesNewsRSS1.xml
will not validate on RSS validator (http://validator.w3.org/feed/).

It falls over on line 32, which is
<author>dude@uiuc.com The Dude</author>

I am not seeing the obvious here. Can some one point it out please?

Many thanks,
Gan

Answered in alt.html, please don't multi-post. Cross-post if you must
but set follow-ups to one group.

And explains here
<http://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/error/InvalidContact.html>
what are the requirements and how correct email addresses (according to
RFC 2822) look (e.g. dude@example.com (The Dude)).

What does RSS have to do with HTML, the subject of this group?
