I have a three part form, designed as a main form and two subforms.
The main form displays information for a user chosen [via a calling
form] "Agency" which has a unique ID number. The first subform is a
datasheet list of the agency's members and the second provides more
detailed information on the selected member.

This form was designed in about 3 minutes by someone who knows how to
work with wizards, and I'm trying to use it to teach myself the visual
basic, access environment. I've been doing ok--with a lot of help from
people here, 'til now, but suddenly this morning, the subform that
lists all agency members has decided to ignore the agency ID
restriction and is simply listing the underlying members' table
in the order that it's written. I have no idea what I've done to undo
what's been working for so long.

I'm completely at sea because I come from a time where you had code to
look at, and I've looked at the design view of this form and it has no
code at all. Apparently everything's in the objects' properties, and
I've compared properties of the 'new' w/ the working version and I
can't find a significant difference.

Does anyone have any idea of what I might have done?

Sounds to me like the parent/child properties might have been lost. Worth
checking.

Are these forms/subforms linked to each other using master/child? (Go
to the form, right-click on the subform/click properties. If the all
tab is displayed, the link master/link child properties are near the
top).

If these properties have somehow been cleared out, that would certainly
cause the problem.

The child link had indeed disappeared.
This also gave me an inkling of how a
subform works.
