Default Password

G'day, With a (Access 2003) database that is split (frontend application and
backend datatables) how can I 'pass' a password from the frontend that
allows access to the datatables which are secured by the tables.

Thanks for your reply.

I have the traditional front end and backend data file where the tables are
linked in the traditional way. Put another way it is the conventional
'split' database situation with linked tables.

In this case the data tables have been protected with a password and this
produces an error when the front end is opened. (Cannot remember the exact
error).

I want a user to be able to open the front end, have it make the connection
by hardcoding the password. This offers me the advantage of the data being
accessed only through the forms.

What I cannot do at the moment is 'pass' the password to the data file.

www.sitocomune.com
sezione tables
Riallegare tabelle. Funziona anche se il Backend e' protetto da password.
