Hello,

I am logged on as db2inst1.

when I run :
db2 connect to test

It connects no problem.


When I try the below:

db2inst1@badtz:~> db2 connect to test user db2inst1 using db2
SQL30082N Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason "24"
("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001


Yes my password is good.
DB2 Express 8.2
Linux Suse Enterprise 9.0
Used blowfish for the password encryption.

Any help will be great..

Try running db2iupdt against your instance.
