Default RAID5 and tablespaces

(I have never been involved with storage hardware before this.)

Given several tablespaces with very different table size needs, eg,
one needs a 4k page, another a 32k page, and another deals with BLOBs
.. . . how does one assign stripe sizes, etc, in a RAID5 configuration?

Default Re: RAID5 and tablespaces

(1). Another important thing is the tablespace EXTENT SIZE. Let's say, for
the 4K page tablespace, you determine to use 16 pages as the extent size.
But for the 32K page tablespace, your extent = 2 pages. Then you don't need
to worry about the different page size of the two tablespaces.
(2). BLOBs will be suggested stored in file system, not the Raw device.
