Intermittent Beep

Question posted by: Rudolf Bargholz (Guest) on November 12th, 2005 06:26 AM
Hi all,

Windows XP / Windows 2000
DB2 7.1 FP3 WG Server

For some strange reason one of our server installations on Windows 2000, and
now my Windows XP also, where DB2 WGE 7.1 FP3 is installed, is beeping. The
only reason I know it is DB2 is when I turn off the DB2 services the beeping
stops and when I turn the services on again the beeping resumes. I have
looked at the db2diag.log and found nothing, the event log is also emtpy. I
am at a loss, and as the beep occurs every couple of minutes, sometimes
every ten minutes, it is really difficult finding the cause.

Anyone have an idea what this could be?

Regards
