Agent not allocated, sqlcode = -1223

Question posted by: Ming-Chi (Guest) on November 12th, 2005 06:01 AM
Dear All

We have been troubling by this for some time. Server is based on
RedHat 8 Linux. DB2 is on V7.2 with Fixpak 10a.

Here is DBM Configuration

Max number of existing agents (MAXAGENTS) = 210
Agent pool size (NUM_POOLAGENTS) = 20
Initial number of agents in pool (NUM_INITAGENTS) = 0
Max number of coordinating agents (MAX_COORDAGENTS) = (MAXAGENTS
- NUM_INITAGENTS)
Max no. of concurrent coordinating agents (MAXCAGENTS) =
MAX_COORDAGENTS
Max number of logical agents (MAX_LOGICAGENTS) =
MAX_COORDAGENTS

And this is config in sysctl.conf

kernel.msgmni = 2048
kernel.sem = 250 128000 256 1024

However, during online backup, we keep get Agent not allocated in DB2
dump.

Any suggestion?
