Trigger Advice ? - Thnx

Question posted by: Terry Hampton (Guest) on November 12th, 2005 06:01 AM

Hello,

I'm a long time user of ORACLE, postgreSQL
and Informix. One of my clients uses DB2 and
I'm now ready to take the plunge.

My first need is to create various DB2 triggers.

Can anyone suggest a good book for an experienced
data base person, but new to DB2 ?

many thanx,
Terry

The Application Development Guide contains a chapter about triggers.

Hi,

If you are going to do any SQL/PL in your triggers, I would suggest
you also get the following book

DB2 SQL Procedural Language for Linux, Unix and Windows
Author:Paul Yip.

We have found it invaluable for our Procedures/UDFs/Triggers.

Paul.
