Default Partially visible frame

Hi

Maybe this is a classic, but here goes:

I would like to create a mastHead/linkIndex shaped by this precisely
defined mathematical curve:
http://www.maths.ex.ac.uk/~mwatkins/zeta/pairgraph.jpg

My problem is that the mastHead is a bit bumpy (when stretched
vertically) at the bottom, and the left of the linkIndex is not
perfectly vertical.

Ideally, after scrolling down the page a little bit, the lines would
disappear and reappear very neatly, just like this:

mast
* ** head ** **
*o* *d * area * J* *y.
Link *oo ** **nd n** **s Ja** **oy.
index *Too m** **k and no** **akes Jac** **l boy.
* Too muc***ork and no p*** makes Jack ***ull boy.
* Too much work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
* Too much work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
* Too much work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
* Too much work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
* ......
*

The * indicate the frame border. Hopefully this is not totally messed
up on your screen.

The way to go should be with partially visible frames.

Any pointers/examples?

Thanks for your help!

Jerome
