Default using BOOST with C++

so i dont know if i am posting this question in the right forum, its a
C++ / Python question.

I have python scripts which i want to keep and want to make calls to
functions in a "C++ Script".... I was told i have to use BOOST to make
calls from Python to C++ functions/libraries that i create

after doing research on BOOST, i see there is a BOOST.PYTHON and a
BOOST....which one do i need and are there any examples of such
implementations

thanks in advance
