Hi, I'm looking networking help. I have a secure tunnel set up which gives me an http proxy on port 8080 and a socks proxy on port 1080. I also have ProxyCap installed which is configured to push all network traffic apart from a few exceptions through the socks proxy.

Basically my problem is that if I try to run uTorrent with this method, it freezes and will not let me connect to any tracker. Could someone please give me a hand with the configuration of this?

Hi,

I have an application which sends an HTTP GET request to a Webserver to recover data. I want to send this request through a proxy. However, the application does not have a built-in proxy option. So my question is... Can I somehow, 'catch' this HTTP request, send it to a proxy, and then send the HTTP response of the proxy back to the application? Is there some sort of way to do this for all outgoing HTTP requests? Whether they have a built-in option or not? This has to be done on a Windows Operating machine.

Thanks in advance,

Good day. I work form home, so our tech guy set up a VPN using Cisco WRT31ON router to connect Nortel i2004 phone to the office system. The Nortel tech did the initial set up and the phone works fine inside the office. Once we tried the phone outside the office (through VPN router), the phone connected no problem, we see calls incoming, we can dial out, all the features work, but there is no voice or tone on the phone. Please help us see if we are on right track: a public address of the router we use was NOT set up in NAT-System settings of the phone system. Is this where we gone wrong? Will therefore the voice data be routed to default IP, and not our Cisco Router? I hope this makes at least some sense.. Thanks for any response

I am trying to know more about Reverse ip lookup. The results vary from tool to tool.. I wanted to know what exactly happens behind the scenes when we do the reverese lookup.. and why some tools are able to find details about a specific IP.. but others just result in "cannot resolve"..

Many thanks,

Hi,

I have a LAN (~10 computer) working behind a netgear router. And then I have a couple of internal webpages. Now, for example, if somebody opens http://www.company-wiki.com in his browser, I want the request to go to one of the internal servers which has wikipedia installed on it rather than it searching for the webpage on the Internet.

I know how to do it for each client computer, but I want to do some settings with the router so I can add or delete such internal domains in future.

Thanks :)
