 Delete performance problem in V9 FP2 for a parent/child? Works in V8 FP14
I have a PMR opened with IBM support but they aren't getting anywhere
fast.
I have a very large table (hundreds of columns and millions of rows)
This table is a parent table for 10 other tables and there is a FK
relationship between them.
I delete the child records first. I then proceed to delete the rows
from the parent table and the delete in V9 takes over 20 hours. In V8
it takes a few minutes.
The explain plans look very similar between V8 and V9 but there is
extra select in the optimized statement for V8.
I am running V8 FP14 and V9 FP2.
Has anybody else had this kind of problem in V9 FP2?
