Default Strange database size

Hi Everyone,

I don't know if this is a problem but I have a database I have been building and currently there are 10 or less tables in it with 100 or less records in each. In many cases there are only around 10 records in some tables. I've got less than 10 forms in the database and one or two small queries. The forms have code behind command buttons and such but nothing extreme. My concern is that my current database size is 36056 KB or around 36 MB. This seems rather large. What is stranger still is that the size remains at 36056 KB regardless of whether I'm adding a few records or some lines of code. Also when I try compacting the database it "compacts" but the size stays exactly the same.

Is my database in trouble?

Thanks.

Do you have any pictures in your database? I had a major problem before upgrading to 2007 where the size of my database just kept growing and growing while I had a picture on a form.
Also, just my front end after compacting is at ~62MB, but I assumed it was a result of all the forms, subforms, and code I have.

I don't have any pictures in it. I'm concerned about how big it'll be when I get the data into it. I have about 70,000 records to add so I hope it doesn't get too big and slow.

But shouldn't the database size increase each time I add code or a table record. It's not doing that. I wonder if I should migrate everything out into a new database. Do you think that would help?
